Services
CARE TYPES
Caring for a loved one can be immensely rewarding but it can also be very demanding on the family especially if there is minimum support around. At Parkside Residential Home, we provide short stays of a few weeks or longer, enough to provide a short respite for the care givers and it also gives an opportunity to assess for the comprehensive care needs of the individual.
We offer 24-hour care for all residents. A person-centred care plan is prepared for each individual and it is reviewed regularly. All information, data and records relating to residents are kept under secure, strict confidentiality and Data Protection protocols. Visits to other professionals such as optician, dentist, physiotherapist, chiropodist and hairdresser are facilitated.
At Parkside Lodge Residential Home, we provide compassionate and sensitive care to individuals during palliative care or end of life care where expectation from recovering from a terminal illness is limited.
Choosing an appropriate care environment for someone living with Dementia can be difficult. At Parkside Lodge Care Home, we keep finding ways to make our homes more dementia-friendly and can help you by sharing our experience, built on strong relationships and partnership working. Simply speak to us to find out how.
We are proud of our recent COVID-19 Assessment report from CQC, acknowledging how we have offered increased one to one time for the residents and have focused on keeping them engaged and active throughout lockdown. The CQC recognised and appreciated the hard work and effort we put in each day to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy.

Hello I'm Kristie. Kristie Marku Registered Care Home Manager Parkside Lodge Residential Home
My journey into care home started with my grandmother years ago. She was a nurse and I will always remember her taking so much pride in her job. I joined the care sector in 2005,working in a nursing home as a carer. I did my NVQ two and three at my local hospital and spent six years working in the hospital stroke Ward. I soon was an assigned champion for the older ones in the ward and was involved as much as possible after six years I wanted to try something new. it was at that point I had the opportunity to complete my NVQ 5 and here I am. I love working at Parkside lodge. It is very homely atmosphere in here and staff has been amazing and supportive at helping me settle in here. I'm so proud to be able to do things for the residents talking with them and spending time with them and seeing them do things that they haven't done in a while is a real joy. when I see them happy having a good time and being looked after properly I'm happy. Parkside lodge has been providing person-centred, genuine residential care for over 20 years but carefully maintained gardens and pleasantly decorated interior, this cosy 18 bed care home really is home from home. it's close proximity to Victoria Park and with stunning views of the South Downs, makes it the perfect spot for our residents to socialise, relax and enjoy life to the full.
